Purple and Green Yin Yang

I found this shrub with violet leaves (does anyone know what it could be?) not far from my house a few months ago, and I was eager to see water droplets on it to make photos. But at the beginning, the young leaves were so waterproof that the rain only glided over it, and I had to wait some more weeks to photograph droplets on mature leaves... Photography always teachs me to be more patient !
